Google to introduce callout feature in Google AdWords

Google takes over Gecko Design – the designer for the Fitbit

Google has reportedly acquired the popular firm Gecko Design. It is the same company that is credited for creating the mechanical design of original version of Fitbit, a fitness-tracking device.

This company was established in 1996. Its headquarters are located in Los Gatos, California. Google has acquired this company to help its Google X special projects lab. Other than having worked for Fitbit, this company has also created designs for several high-profile clients such as Dell, Slingmedia, OLPC, Aliph and Dell.

Google X spawns several ambitious projects such as driverless car program and Google Glass. Now with Gecko Design, Google can realize its new hardware goals. It was rumored that Google was shopping around for wearable device makers but now it seems it has settled with this design partner.
